The ARENHA project M30 consortium meeting has been held last October 6th, 2022. The meeting was hosted by DTU in Lyngby (near Copenhague, Denmark). The status and progress of the project in the different work packages was discussed addressing: the business case; the systems requirements, design and modelling; the key component developments and the initial steps for the prototypes set-ups and, finally, the environmental LCA, economic and safety assessment. The consortium also discussed specific short-term activities to be carried out in the coming months. Despite few deviation due to the COVID19 impact the project is progressing as planned. Further information will be presented in the ARENHA public website in coming months. Stay tuned.

The 15th International Conference on Catalysis in Membrane Reactors is taking place at Tokyo, Japan beginning of August ( ARENHA is having several presentations at the event. The ARENHA project will be presented as a Keynote lecture and the ammonia decomposition related research activities in two oral contributions. Presentations will be later on available at the ARENHA public website.

The 1st Symposium on Ammonia Energy is taking place at Cardiff, UK, this Summer (01-02 Sept 2022). Ammonia, as an emerging fuel, is not only attracting interest but also spurring innovative research on how to employ it as an energy vector. This work is taking place in every corner of the World. Hence, this event provides an international forum for the presentation and discussion of state-of-the-art scientific and engineering advances on the subject. ARENHA, a flagship to the use of ammonia, will be represented in the event. Prof. Christine Rousselle, part of our consortium and Scientific Board member of the symposium, has been actively participating in its preparation and dissemination. We are pleased to invite you to the 1st Workshop of the ARENHA Project. This special dissemination workshop will introduce novel materials and technologies related to ammonia-based energy storage covering the whole power-to-ammonia-to-applications. Lectures are given by scientists of both academia and industry.

The workshop will be held at ENGIE Lab CRIGEN (4, Rue Joséphine Baker, 93240 Stains (Near Paris) but online attendance is also availableat. See access Map.

Ammonia is a very important molecule. Its role is even becoming more important as it can also be used as energy carrier and fuel. Due to the current situation and our responsibility to limit the spread of COVID-19, the kick-off meeting was celebrated online with success on May 5th. It was the first-time consortium was in contact all together. Besides presenting the groups, the consortium made a review of the long-term goal of the project and discussed on the short-term specific activities to be carried out in the next months.
